Mar 6, 2024 The Chinese enterprise Yingli Solar, a frontrunner in the global solar energy industry expands to Copenhagen.We are thrilled to announce that Yingli Solar, a frontrunner in the global solar energy industry, has chosen Denmark for its latest expansion. This strategic move by Yingli Solar, a company renowned for its comprehensive smart photovoltaic (PV) energy solutions, highlights Denmark's leadership in sustainability and renewable energy.
Established over 25 years ago, Yingli Solar has become a dominant force in the PV industry, with a presence in more than 100 countries worldwide. The company is dedicated to advancing solar energy technologies and has been instrumental in the development of 118 Chinese and international standards, showcasing its commitment to sustainability and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The decision to expand into Denmark was influenced by the country’s exceptional ecosystem for green energy and technology innovation. During an early 2023 fact-finding tour facilitated by Copenhagen Capacity, Yingli Solar identified Denmark's vibrant market and the strategic significance of aligning with the Danish government's vision and industrial support for the SDGs.
Yingli Solar's entrance into the Danish market is poised to foster exchange of cutting-edge experiences and technologies in the photovoltaic sector. It is anticipated to stimulate the entire value chain of solar energy solution operators active in Denmark and across Europe. Initially focusing on sales and service, Yingli Solar's Danish operations are expected to create approximately 10 jobs and lead to the establishment of an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) service company around Nordic Green Tech. This expansion aligns with Yingli Solar's mission to contribute meaningfully to the global SDG goals for a sustainable human society.
