Mellanox Technologies expands in Greater Copenhagen
Jan 14, 2019 Israeli Mellanox Technology expands its research and development activities in Greater Copenhagen owing to specialised IT engineers and competitive salaries.Mellanox Technologies is a leading global provider of end-to-end InfiniBand and Ethernet interconnect solutions and services for servers and data storage. In 2013, Mellanox Technologies acquired the Danish company IPtronics in Greater Copenhagen, which is now home to Mellanox's key R&D and centre in Europe.

Since the acquisition of IPtronics, Mellanox Technologies has doubled its staff in Greater Copenhagen. In the next three years, the company expects to hire an extra 30 employees.
Originally, the headquarters in Israel was in doubt whether the new research and development activities should be placed in Greater Copenhagen or in locations such as Tel Aviv, Austin, Boston and Beijing, where Mellanox Technologies also has offices.
Copenhagen Capacity, together with Invest in Denmark, helped Mellanox Technologies’ management team in Denmark in preparing analyses benchmarking salary levels, business costs and the talent pool of specialist engineers in Greater Copenhagen against other metropolitan regions.
The findings pointed to Greater Copenhagen, which offers Mellanox Technologies the biggest pool of highly skilled engineers at competitive salaries.
