Bosch Wants a Piece of Danish Progress
Apr 10, 2025 Bosch Opens Bosch Software & Digital Solutions in Copenhagen Assisted by Copenhagen CapacityThe Danish economy is booming, and it's attracting major global companies, including German industrial giant Bosch, which is now opening a new division, called Bosch Software & Digital Solutions, for Sustainable Manufacturing and Cyber Security in Copenhagen.
Denmark's thriving manufacturing industry, combined with a high degree of digitalization, makes it an ideal location for the company.
"Denmark is a leader in the pharmaceutical industry, green transition, and IT. This is a development that Bosch values highly and wants to be part of. That's why we are opening a Nordic Unit to bring our expertise to other Danish companies,"
says Heidi Mills, Nordic Head of Software & Digital Solutions at Bosch.
The increase in domestic production has been a significant factor in Bosch's decision to move to Denmark. In a time of increased global uncertainty, there is a clear trend towards reshoring – bringing production back home. The focus will be on both industrial machinery and digital security, which is more crucial than ever, notes Heidi Mills.
"Denmark is one of the most digitalized countries in the world. This is a tremendous strength, but it also means vulnerability, and here we see great opportunities to offer solutions that can secure Danish companies,"
says Heidi Mills.
Copenhagen Capacity has worked for several years to bring new Bosch business to Denmark through advisory services and administrative assistance. CEO Asbjørn Overgaard is thrilled that these efforts have finally paid off.
"Bosch is a global giant, and it's a testament to both Copenhagen Capacity and Denmark as a whole that one of Germany's largest companies is opening a new industrial segment here. It shows that we are an attractive country. This creates jobs and prosperity that benefit us all,"
says Asbjørn Overgaard, who also emphasizes that attracting foreign companies requires persistence.
"We will continue to work on attracting investments to Denmark. Fortunately, we have many good conditions for success, but it requires creating access with as few obstacles as possible so that large companies can immediately see the advantages. We have achieved this with Bosch, and I believe and hope it will be a success,"
says Asbjørn Overgaard.
